The Icelandic Men’s National Football team will be unveiling their new team uniforms at their upcoming friendly match against Mexico, RÚV reports. Italian sportswear company Erreà will produce the jerseys, as they’ve done before.
The team’s previous uniforms, which were unveiled before the Euro Cup in France, were the c-source of much debate for fans. And, according to team office manager Klara Bjartmarz, that isn’t likely to change this time around: “I’d be very surprised if [the new uniform] isn’t controversial—that’d mean that people had lost interest in us.”
The friendly match against Mexico will take place on March 23 in Santa Clara, California in the US.
