Vinterbrødre (En. Winter Brothers), written and directed by Icelander Hlynur Pálmason, has been awarded Best Film of 2017 at Denmark’s Bodil Awards. RÚV reported first. The Bodil Awards were established in 1948, making them one of the oldest film awards in Europe.
Vinterbrødre follows two working-class brothers during a cold winter and a feud which erupts between them and another family. The film also received the Robert (Danish Academy) Award for Best Film of 2017, as well as being awarded for makeup, and production design.
