Three skiers escaped without serious injury after being hit by an avalanche in Botnsdalur valley by Súgandafjörður fjord in the West Fjords last night.
Yesterday marked the twentieth anniversary of the avalanche in Flateyri, the West Fjords, where 20 people lost their lives.
