Since Iceland is between America and Europe, there are obvious influences from both in terms of taste and culture. Cars seem more American, fashion seems more European. Is there a dominant influence?

Since Iceland is between America and Europe, there are obvious influences from both in terms of taste and culture. Cars seem more American, fashion seems more European. Is there a dominant influence?

Yeah, the cars and roads are more American, but the bus service, fashion, and buildings are more European. American music and television is a big influence here. I think people may consider themselves more closely tied with Europe, but Icelanders seem to look more to Scandinavia, the UK, and Germany for their education and their travel. Politics could be a primary reason for this.
