Q: Are there any rooms for permanent rent in a skyscraper in Iceland?
A: If by skyscraper you mean a building with more than 50 floors, there are no skyscrapers in Iceland. The tallest habitable building in Iceland has 20 floors. If you’re talking about a high-rise with more than 10 floors, there are a few options.
There are high-rises with a view of the sea near the harbor in the so-called Skuggahverfi neighborhood on Vatnsstígur in 101 Reykjavík. The apartments in the complex are in private ownership and some are rented out.
Here you can find information on rental apartments.
For a short-term stay, Fosshotel recently opened a hotel in a tower (pictured) near the Reykjavík seaside.
