Helgi Valur - Demise of Faith

Helgi Valur grew up listening to Bob Dylan and Cat Stevens. He picked up guitar and played in several bands before launching his solo career last year. Listen to part of Slip Away, off his first solo album Demise of Faith.

Helgi began his career at a high school singing contest in 2000, where he sang Jeff Buckley's version of “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen. After busking in Denmark and Sweden in 2004, Helgi came back to Iceland and won Channel 2's famous troubador contest. Learn more about Helgi at his label, Sena Records.
