Allt er eitthvad is the sophomore album of Jónas Sigurdsson and his band, Ritvélar framtídarinnar (“Typewriters of the future”), which has made quite an impact on the Icelandic music scene.

With rhythmic melodies, a powerful brass section and clever lyrics, the band lifts the spirits, particularly in “Hamingjan er hér” (“Happiness is here”)—the song playing in the background—which was voted Best Song of 2010 at the last Icelandic Music Awards.

In one word, the band’s concerts are a joyride. In these photos, Geir Ólafsson managed to capture some of the vibe that characterizes Jónas Sigurdsson & Ritvélar framtídarinnar’s live performances. Edited by Páll Kjartansson.
