Re: Calls for Revision of Fireworks Sales Following Accidents

One of the many things I greatly admire about the Icelandic people is they believe in using common sense, when one ignores obvious dangers and is injured, it is mostly Darwin’s theory that “the best of the species survives.”

In Iceland there are no lawsuits or people trying to blame others for their own stupidity. Unlike us here in the U.S. where everything bad that happens to someone is always another’s fault and a lawsuit is the norm. Iceland may post warning signs but does not fence cliffs; if you fall over, their gene pool is strengthened as the dumbest of the species have removed themselves from breeding.

Come on Iceland, if stupid people hurt themselves or others with improper handling of fireworks, don’t punish the rest of us, punish the stupid people. Iceland’s fireworks are plentiful, powerful, awesome, and  world renowned. Please keep it that way!

(I love Iceland!)
