Stupid though it is to assume that the sun revolves around the Earth, it is even stupider for a journalist to replace that ‘r’ word with ‘rotate’…so, just to put this matter to bed once and for all, the Earth rotates. At the same time as rotating on its axis, it also revolves (or ‘orbits’) around the Sun. Thank you to all who spotted the (deliberate) mistake (esp. Springfield, Massachusetts, USA)!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Now for today’s Daily Life, which needs to be interesting and of some relevance to people…hmmm…

Well, here’s some news – Iceland Review has a fresh new line-up starting today. Our new editor, Krista has arrived from San Francisco with our new second journalist, Adam. The upshot of this is that you can expect some new and fresh ideas in Daily Life columns from now on, which I’m sure will be appreciated.

The funny thing is that writing this, I still haven’t met either of them, as they’re upstairs, presumably being welcomed, inducted, orientated or just drinking coffee…I think I’m going to go and say hi – try to make a good impression and take advantage of the new people. How hard can it be to persuade a new editor that the next issue of Iceland Review will need me to go to Hawaii for a couple of weeks?
