Marco the Pink Panther (PS)

I find that Marco Evaristti, the Chilean so-called artist, who poured pink food color into the geyser Strokkur, is being stupid. I honestly think that his so-called art project has more do with him craving attention than the fragile nature of Iceland, and elsewhere.

He isn’t the only one behaving foolishly on planet Iceland. He could be mistaken for an Icelandic minister.

I had stopped understanding politics and politicians here in the republic a long time ago.

Maybe, the population of the 300,000 plus people living here in Iceland is way too small. It’s the same number as the population of the metropolitan areas of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Lubbock, Texas.

Our current ministers seem to be making mistakes—big mistakes—on every issue they focus on. Like Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture Sigurður Ingi Jóhannsson failing to move the Directorate of Fisheries from Reykjavík to Akureyri.

Iceland would be much better governed if they would do nothing.

Nothing at all.
