Leaving Iceland, at the height of the summer, as I did last weekend, should be banned.
The night before I left, I was photographing Goðafoss waterfall. The soft light of the midnight sun kissing the land. So beautiful.
And back in the car, I felt strange, like I was getting sick, freezing in my wet shorts, and flip flops.
And I understood why, when I started the car and saw the temperature was negative 0.5° C (31° F).
The next night, a dark, but warm one in Germany (25°C / 77°F), I missed the fresh air, but most of all the midnight light.
No, midsummer is NOT the time to leave Iceland.
