Heavy rain is expected in South and Southwest Iceland today. The best weather will be in the West Fjords: cool, calm with sunny spells.

The warmest temperatures this weekend are forecast for the southeast, reaching 11°C (52°F), accompanied by wind and rain.
Tomorrow, Northeast Iceland will likely be graced by the best weather: clear sky and a temperature of around 5°C (41°F)—perfect conditions for exploring the winter landscapes of Akureyri and Lake Mývatn.
The weather will be unstable in the capital over the weekend. To enjoy the great outdoors, Sunday is the better day. Dress properly, because the temperature forecast is just above freezing point.
